(1) My Jeep Liberty front windows fail to go up or down. In the Florida heat, this gets pretty brutal while driving.
I've heard many people and have seen many people with Jeep Liberties complain about this window problem. This could be due to poor window regulator manufacturing.
(2) The air condition at my work, Walmart, never feels like it's on.
I was told that the air at all Walmart stores is regulated by home office, so if it's cooler up north, and we're being regulated at the same temperature as the northern stores, it's going to feel hotter to us down south.
(3) I have Smile Direct Club, an alternative to Invisalign - every time you eat or drink something other than water, you must brush your teeth and clean your aligners. This is a constant inconvenience for me since I always have to make sure I have my aligner case, a tooth brush, and stuff to clean my aligners with.
To preserve your oral hygiene, you must stay on top of making sure you're eating and drinking without your aligners, and keeping your mouth and aligners clean.
(4) I like eating healthy, but there's almost no options at my job.
The Walmart I work at is a division one store, meaning it's not a super center. We're a smaller Walmart with no produce, deli, or main grocery section. All we have is the dry foods and a couple freezer aisle filled with things like frozen pizzas and the overly processed $1 TV dinners.
(5) Portable batteries that you buy to charge your phone on the go, never come charged. The main reason you're buying these is so that you don't have to stop and charge your phone - so the fact that you still have to stop and charge the portable battery just to charge your phone, is pretty pointless.
Perhaps it's too difficult to preserve battery life in a portable charger before it gets to the consumer.
(6) When I'm wearing my glasses, walk outside, and instantly can't see due to the fogginess on the lenses.
The humidity of the heat outside causes your glasses to fog up due to condensation.
(7) Being a girl, when I'm trying to get an outfit together, I make a mess out of the clothes I took forever to put up. It's hard to put my clothes away when I know I'm going to want to look through all of them when I get ready again.
There's too many possibilities when it comes to clothes and it's hard to imagine what an outfit can look like on your body without trying it on first.
(8) Every time I wear a pair of socks, they disappear after.
People are usually pretty careless with socks after taking them off, instead of putting them to the side after you're done, they usually end up somewhere random.
(9) People can virtually return whatever they want to Walmart, including people who "receipt" shop (collecting old receipts from the street, stealing the things on the receipt, and then returning said items for money.)
Despite if you know they're being suspicious or not, you legally cannot accuse someone of stealing.
(10) The college parking at Hillsborough Community College is always horrendous. You'd have to get there early to secure a spot unless you'd want to spend 20 minutes waiting for someone to back out, or you'd get sent to overflow parking which was in the grass, and if it was raining, you'd have to walk through the mud and ants.
HCC underestimated the capacity of students that'd be attending the college when constructing the parking lots for the college.
(11) The Temple Terrace library printer charges 20 cents per page and is cash only. I had to search my car for enough money to print something since I don't carry cash on me usually.
Funds for the library are a lot less than they are now, so a lot of their equipment isn't exactly up to date - nor is the ability to use your credit card to pay for the printer.
(12) Being a front end manager at Walmart, I am constantly being yelled at by customers because of the amount of registers I have open.
Walmart's home office automatically makes a schedule for the front end that bases it off last year's sale on that day. This is a faulty process because, for example, in 2017 we were closed during hurricane Irma. Last year, on those same days that we were closed, I had virtually no cashiers scheduled because of this system. The managers that are supposed to edit these schedules usually don't.
(13) When you're waiting forever for your food to come out to the table, or the waiter fails to keep your drink full.
The kitchen is behind, the waiter is busy, the restaurant can't handle the amount of customers at that time.
(14) When you buy clothes online, but it's not what it seemed to be when you get it in person.
The quality of the clothing isn't what was shown in the pictures due to these clothes being mass produced and sold at cheap prices.
(15) Going to Disney World and the average weight time for a ride is over an hour.
The amusement park cannot handle the capacity of customers but still allows that many people to enter the park and wait for 2 minute rides.
(16) When I'm running on the treadmill at the gym, and my headphones keep falling out.
I've tried numerous types of headphones, including wireless, and it's like no headphone is equipped for lots of motion. Or sweat.
(17) Running into traffic and having it take 30 minutes to get 5 minutes down the road.
Florida is full. There are far too many people trying to get somewhere at the same time.
(18) When my job schedules me 7, 8 or more days in a row, knowing I'm in school.
The schedules are made automatically by the system and they fail to fix them personally.
(19) When I get acrylic nails done and one breaks within the first week.
I use my hands too much at work, so it's bound to happen.
(20) Getting a bunch of random calls from (800) numbers or numbers you don't know all day.
Many people make their money by scamming, or debt collectors trying to get you to pay up.
I didn't necessarily find the problems as hard to come up with, I think internally we all are constantly complaining about the things we have to deal with every day but we never stop to think of a solution for these things. It's interesting when you sit and try to think of WHY these things bother you and why they're even happening to begin with.
Hi Danielle,
ReplyDeleteI have to completely agree with your statements about having to wear retainers/carrying a toothbrush around and having a hot car. When I had braces, I would always care a pocket toothbrush so I could dislodge food particles stuck in my braces. Also, having a hot car is unbearable in Florida, my car is black and just touching it will burn your hand.
Hey Danielle!
ReplyDeleteOne of your bugs that I totally relate to is wanting to eat healthy, but not having the option at work. The bar I work at only has fried food so it is extremely hard to be able to stay on a healthy diet while being at work. I also get annoyed with the online shopping bug too. As someone who shops online A LOT, it is very frustrating to order something and be disappointed when it comes in different than what you expected.
Hi Danielle, I also have been having issues with headphones at the gym. It amazes me that airpods come in one standard size and apple expects them to fit everyone the same. Also, I mentioned disney world wait times on my list and the waiting takes all the fun out of the experience... So annoying!
